D.B. Cooper

It's November 24, 1971. A man by the name of Dan Cooper buys a plane ticket to Seattle, Washington. He is wearing a suit as well as a tie and looks like he is in his forties. Shortly before the plane takes off, he puts on dark sunglasses and buys a drink. Shortly after 3pm, he handed the stewardess a note saying he had a bomb in his suitcase. He told her to sit down next to him and gave her a glance at the wires and multiple red-colored sticks. Soon, the stewardess brought a note to the pilot demanding $200,000 in twenty-dollar bills and 4 parachutes. Instead of Seattle, the plane was now headed to Mexico by orders of Cooper. Somewhere in between Seattle and Reno, Cooper jumped out of the back of the plane with the money. This was just after 8 pm. To this day, no one knows what happened to the infamous D.B. Cooper.

While there are many theories about what happened to Cooper. I don't have enough information to make my own theory. Here are some of the top theories on what happened to the sky hijacker who was never found. 1: He did not survive the jump. Out of all the theories, this one seems to be one of the most likely candidate for explaining how a man who parachuted into darkness wearing a suit with ransom money was never found by any one. 2: He did not actually jump. This is a less popular theory but still plausible. He could have pretended to jump and then stayed on the plane all the way to Mexico. This is similar to another theory that the infamous hijacker jumped and crossed the border to Mexico on foot.

Altho this whole case is strange there has been a little more evidence found in 1980 when a young buy discovered a bag filled with $5,800 in twenties that matched the serial numbers of the ransom money that D.B. Cooper stole. Altogether I think this is one of the most amazingly strange cases ever. Its insane how the U.S. could have so many smart detectives on this case but nobody every figured out how D.B. Cooper just went missing. If you don't agree with any of these theory's I encourage you to think of your own theory.

Thanks to my mom who is also the editor,
